PRODUCTS
STEAMDOSS is steam system design, modeling and analysis software developed for energy engineering applications.
This is the software developed for steam plant applications; a tool aimed at supporting design engineers, consultants, plant managers’ contractors and training managers to effectively plan and perform their activities.
Users
· Boiler plant design engineers to design steam plant systems.
· Consulting engineers to model and compare design options more quickly and accurately.
· Operation engineers and plant managers can evaluate the existing plant operation and use this as a problem solving tool.
· Energy engineers to perform analysis and calculations to evaluate the potential cost savings and payback scenarios.
· Plant managers can modify the plants confidently after simulation using operation data.
· Contractors can asses and plan installation of steam and boiler plants with ease using STEAMDOSS as a tool.
· Boiler and associated equipment manufacturers can use this as a marketing tool.
· Training managers can use this as a training tool and model steam plant and associated systems
Capabilities
STEAMDOSS is a Windows based application system.
It will perform process design calculations of the user defined systems .It can provide results in graphic format, on screen display or in a report format.
It can be used to perform stand alone engineering design calculations using Design Utilities. Design Utilities are also provided with graphic support
The software can model and perform calculations commonly used in steam plant applications and can be used to model the generation plants and user facility systems. The generation plants that can be modeled are boiler systems, feed water systems, heat recovery, and blow down systems. User facility systems include cooling tower, steam turbine and heat exchangers and associated components
The STEAMDOSS software is available in two options
STEAMDOSS-DS:
This module can be used as support for design functions or as a design utility for common problems encountered in steam plants or energy payback calculations.
The Design Suite Contains 12 independent software programs which are commonly used in steam system design. The systems covered in this Suite are boilers and associated systems, pumps, piping and economic analysis.
STEAMDOSS- SIM
This product is used to build and simulate steam systems for analysis .
Contains 28 independent graphical shape components located in an engineering tool box. The components covered in this module are boilers, economizer, airpreheater, flash tank, heat exchangers, turbine, condenser, cooling tower, pumps, piping and valves. These components are provided with properties needed for calculations. User can drag and drop, connect them using connectors as pipe lines, build a process flow diagram and run heat and power simulation calculations..
This heat and power simulation module provides results of calculation for individual components indicating the pressure, flow, enthalpy, efficiency and power values for each of the components as applicable. It also provides results for each of the end points of connectors or nodes
Flexible and User friendly
· STEAMDOSS is designed and developed with ease and flexibility for the user in mind.
· User can drag and drop steam plant components and build a system
· User has choices to build or modify from standard templates
· User has option to build and model a full system or a partial system.
· User has choice of units to model and calculate from US units, metric or mixed units.
